Questions

On an open question everyone writes ideas, one per slip, and puts them in the middle. One question is one round. Leave it empty and you ask them yourself.

A question that asks for MANY answers (“name as many…”, “what do you already know about…”) works best: the power is in the pile. A question with one right answer is done after two slips.

What does the group do with the pile?
Your call, per question: do you want an overview of everything there is, or do you want the group to make a choice and defend it?
What to lay out
  • Loose slips or sticky notes (count on ten per student per question).
  • A pen per student; the same colour, so no handwriting stands out.
  • For “sort into groups”: a few spare blank slips for the group names.
