Step-by-step instructions

Steps

  1. Split the class into teams (2–4).
  2. Show a question with a timer; open question or multiple choice.
  3. Teams discuss and note their answer.
  4. Reveal the correct answer and keep score.
  5. Go through the questions; the team with the most points wins.

Settings

  • Questions β€” required. Give each an answer, or turn on multiple choice and mark the correct option. You can't start without a valid question.
  • Number of teams β€” optional, 2–4 (default 2).
  • Time per question β€” optional, default 30 s.

Tip: generate quiz questions with AI

Out of ideas? Ask Microsoft Copilot: “Create 10 quiz questions about [topic] for students aged [age], each with the correct answer (and optionally 4 multiple-choice options).” Copy them into the question list.

Tips for the facilitator

This activity turns revision of the material into a team competition. Teams take turns answering questions, and the facilitator reveals the correct answer after each round. This is a familiar format, close to traditional teaching β€” attention is directed at the screen and the facilitator. But the team format adds energy: competition motivates, especially children and teenagers. Choose it for consolidating or revising a topic, checking knowledge before a test, or as an energizer with meaningful content.
