Step-by-step instructions

Steps

  1. Work in pairs: one is the solver (A), the other the coach (B).
  2. The solver does the exercise aloud; the coach observes (timer).
  3. The coach gives a compliment first, then a tip.
  4. Swap roles for the next exercise.
  5. Repeat until all exercises are done.

Settings

  • Exercises β€” required. One per line. You can't start without at least one. (Tip: an even number, so both roles get equal turns.)
  • Time per exercise β€” optional, default 90 s.

Tip: generate exercises with AI

Out of ideas? Ask Microsoft Copilot: “Give me 8 exercises about [topic] for students aged [age], one per line.” Paste the lines into the Exercises field.

Tips for the facilitator

  • Thinking aloud and giving supportive feedback

  • The partner guides, without giving away the answer

  • Known in IT as pairing: fewer mistakes, better results

  • For tasks where the thinking matters more than the answer
