Steps
- Make question cards: question on the front, answer on the back. Students can make them, or use the card generator.
- In pairs: A reads a question, B answers.
- Correct: B wins the card and gets a compliment. Wrong: the card goes back to the pile.
- Swap roles and play again.
- Continue until all cards are won — who has the most?
Settings
- Time per step (minutes) — optional. Set 0 for no timer.
- Preparation: question cards needed — make them with the card generator or have students write their own.
Tip: generate questions with AI
Ask Microsoft Copilot: “Create 20 question-and-answer cards about [topic] for students aged [age], as a question — answer list.” Put them on the cards with the card generator.
Tips for the facilitator
Flashcards: question on the front, answer on the back — one set per pair of participants.
- Language lesson: review words, translations or word meanings
- Exact subject: study formulas, definitions or calculations through active repetition
- Content lesson: practise key concepts, dates or cause-and-effect relationships
